Some questions stay with us longer than others.
Where do opportunities come from? What shapes our paths and what does that say about the world we live in?
Christina Cross, sociologist at Harvard University, is coming to Munich to talk about inherited inequality and why starting points matter more than we often think.
She will read from her book Inherited Inequality and then join Fabian Pfeffer for a conversation about opportunity, fairness, and everyday life.
We’re hosting this fireside chat outside the university on purpose, at Lost Weekend. It’s meant to be a place to meet, talk, and spend time together. Snacks included. Everyone is welcome.
Join us and add your perspective.

Some years start gently. Others don’t.
If January already feels full, you’re not alone. We hope you’re doing well, wherever the year has taken you so far.
A short hello from ISI. We’re back at our desks, finding our rhythm again, and continuing to work on questions of inequality and how they show up in everyday life.
